Lots of changes

Fri Jun 19, 2009, 8:07 PM
Wow, that last journal entry was up for almost a full year, and not ONE person decided to play along? There isn't a single person watching me that wanted to try out the mutual feature thing? Very disappointing.

Well, I'm sure who ever randomly come across my work might be interested in knowing why I havn't posted anything on here in a long time.

Am I out of creativity? Obviously not. I still come up with things now and then.

Am I too lazy to post it here? No, it's not something I could post here. It's mostly for my Random Thoughts Blog and random game ideas.

The main reason for me not posting is a lack of creativity in the correct areas, but also a lack of working computers. My last PC is dieing on me. Thankfully I got all of my important files off of it before it started this. Essentially, it loads up fine, then bogs down, then freezes. It runs perfectly if you don't do anything with it. however, the more files you run in a session, the more it bogs down, and the closer it gets to freezing. If you run a browser and go to a few pages, say goodbye to all resources. Maybe the RAM is fried or something, I really don't know. Thankfully, though, my dad got himself a new laptop and gave me his "old" one. It's not really old, just not his new one. It's still got Vista (The demon spawn of operating systems) and it's one of those Acer Aspires that has a major problem with the motherboard, which causes it to freeze, crash, and stick at the worst possible times.

So, I can't really do much with this laptop until I can get it reformatted, and see if I can fix the problem without opening up the thing. If all else fails, it should still be under warranty, and I don't want to void that just yet. So, I'm still running everything off of an external drive until then, and I'd rather not fill it needlessly. Also, for some strange reason, this computer refuses to install any version of any paint program, so I'm stuck with (shudder) MS Paint! I don't mind working things pixel by pixel, it's a good way to make images if you want a certain style or a certain look. However, I don't like being forced to make EVERY pixel by pixel, as I like to use certain things, like lighting effects, shaders, textures, transparencies, and just about every shortcut that EVERY paint program in the world has that MS Paint does not. of course, I am not referring to the latest MS Paint, which is actually starting to incorporate the oldest of features these other programs have, but rather the MS Paint that comes with every version of Windows ever made, with small upgrades here and there.

Anyway, I'd rather not work too much on this laptop before the reformatting, as that would be counter-productive. Besides, I don't want to give the thing a heart attack this early on.

Site "typo." Yup, getting tired. All this writing has worn me out. Nonetheless, that doesn't stop me.

When you feel like it some time, you might be more interested by my poem 'Imagination,' which I was weary about posting on D.A.

Anyway, if I don't see you no more today, I'll see you around! Thank you for stopping by. It's good to know you're still alive on the sight.

Well, more or less alive. I haven't posted a journal in a long time, and haven't written or drawn anything in even longer. I do stop by on occasion to check messages and deviations, though.

I'll check out that poem, if I have the time today. If not, I'll try to remember to do it on Monday (Easter is here and I do most of the work) but my memory is horrible, so don't get the wrong idea if I forget. ^_^;

There's still a chance today won't happen.
Well, I just got on dA today after a long hiatus. I had 10 messages and over 20 deviations. ^_^;;;
